Disney offered a bullish earnings outlook for the coming years and its streaming business showed healthy growth in both profits and new customers, signs that the company’s shift away from its rapidly-declining TV business is gaining momentum.

Revenue for Disney’s experiences segment for the quarter ending Sept. 28 was $8.24 billion, and increase of 1%. For the fiscal year ending Sept. 28, its revenue was $34.15 billion, up 5%. The increases were driven by higher guest spending, partially offset by higher expenses and costs attached to new offerings from the cruise line.

Overall, Disney's Experiences segment, which includes theme parks and Disney Cruise Line, saw a revenue increase of $0.1 billion, or 1%, in the fourth fiscal quarter. Operating income declined 6% to $1.7 billion, mainly attributed to cruise-related expenses and international softness in theme parks.
