Starring Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil and Manju Warrier in important roles, ‘Vettaiyan’ is directed by T J Gnanavel

At the audio launch of Vettaiyan, Superstar Rajinikanth opened up about his costar, Amitabh Bachchan's stardom and spoke about his resilience. The actor went on to speak about Big B's dedication to the role and called him an inspiration.

Rajinikanth attended the audio launch of Vettaiyan on Friday, September 20, where he spoke about his co-star Amitabh Bachchan at length. He recounted Big B's severe financial difficulties in the 1990s when his company AB Corporation went bankrupt and how he bounced back.

Vettaiyan also marks the screen reunion of Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth, who last worked in the 1991 film Hum.

With ‘Vettaiyan’, Amitabh Bachchan makes his Telugu film debut, while Rajinikanth completes his 170th feature. Along with Hum (1991), the two great performers have shared the screen in films like 'Andha Kanoon' (1983), 'Geraftaar' (1985), and others.

Directed by TJ Gnanavel, known for Jai Bhim, the film also stars Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati and Manju Warrier in pivotal roles
