Before these trains in Maharashtra, there were eight Vande Bharat Express trains operated by both Western Railway and Central Railway in Maharashtra.

This was the second Vande Bharat Express, a semi-high-speed air-conditioned train with modern passenger amenities and upgraded safety features, launched in the state.

The train promises to cover the distance between Durg in Chhattisgarh and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh in just eight hours, a notable reduction from the current 11-hour journey time.
