BERLIN (AP) — Frances Tiafoe put Team World ahead at the Laver Cup with a victory over Daniil Medvedev on Saturday. The American, who reached the semifinals at the U.S. Open, won 3-6, 6-4 and 10-5 in the third set, which is a match tiebreaker.

Spains Carlos Alcaraz beat American Ben Shelton in the Laver Cup on the second day of the Ryder Cup-style contest to level things at 4-4; Alcaraz is making his Team Europe debut against Team World; US

Team World’s Frances Tiafoe had earlier come back from a set down to defeat Daniil Medvedev, and the two sides were tied at 4-4 going into the Saturday night session at Berlin’s Uber Arena.

Team World and Team Europe were level after victories by Argentina's Francisco Cerundolo for Team World and Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece for Team Europe on the first day of the Laver Cup tournament at the Uber Arena on Friday.

Grigor Dimitrov defeated Alejandro Tabilo on Friday to give Team Europe the lead at the Laver Cup in Berlin ahead of the doubles match later on Friday. Dimitrov prevailed 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-2) in two hours and 15 minutes.

Stefanos Tsitsipas pulled Team Europe even with Team World at the Laver Cup by beating Thanasi Kokkinakis 6-1, 6-4 on Friday. Team World led after Francisco Cerundolo of Argentina topped Casper Ruud of Norway 6-4,
