The No. 2 Boston College Eagles (6-1, 1-0 HE) men’s hockey team defeated the No. 5 Maine Black Bears (6-1-1, 3-1-1 HE) 3-2 to open Hockey East play on Friday night. The game was a defensive battle and remained scoreless until late in the middle frame when Maine forward Josh Nadeau scored his second goal of the season.
