The Spaceship Neptune-Excelsior performed its first uncrewed test flight soaring to an altitude of 100,000 feet marking a big step toward the Brevard County space tourism company’s march toward its first trip with humans on board next year.

Space Perspective, the world’s first carbon-neutral spaceflight experience company, has successfully completed a full flight profile of its uncrewed Spaceship Neptune- Excelsior, the fully-operational test vehicle of the spaceship that will take Explorers to space.

Florida-based Space Perspective has completed its first test flight in a major step toward launching humans in a capsule tied to a balloon. In a statement on September 18, the company highlighted 'extraordinary accomplishments' during the flight of Neptune-Excelsior.

Space Perspective, on Florida's space coast, launched its 700-foot-long space balloon and capsule and successfully retrieved as it splashed down.

The weekend trip was a success for Space Perspective, the company that already has more than 1,800 people waiting for their chance to take balloon rides in a posh capsule up to the edge of space. The Spaceship Neptune-Excelsior performed its first uncrewed test flight soaring to an altitude of 100,
