Q:
Is it possible to visit the gift shop and restaurant without buying a ticket for the museum? We are passing by and it would be a nice place to get some souvenirs and a hot meal, but we probably won’t have time to look around.
A:
Yes, but I wasn't overly impressed with the gift shop.
Q:
Do you need to buy tickets ahead of time?
A:
For the longer tour yes book ahead.
Q:
Can I use a credit card in the restaurant and shop?
A:
I am not sure about the restaurant but we used card in the shop. Iceland is fully ‘electroniced up’ with most outlets accepting card and contactless.
Q:
Does the restaurant serve alcohol?
A:
The restaurant name is Katla Restaurant and yes it does have spirits.
